Our Team
Our experienced staff team are fully paediatric first aid trained and committed to delivering high quality, inclusive early education. As a Dingley’s Promise Inclusive Setting Award holder, we ensure every child is valued, supported, and able to participate fully. Staff plan ambitious, developmentally appropriate experiences across all areas of learning, adapting practice to meet individual needs and promote confidence, independence, and curiosity.

Claire McCartney, Manager
The nursery is managed by Claire, who brings over 30 years of experience in Early Years and holds a Master’s degree in Early Years Education. She leads our support for children with additional needs as our SENCO and is also our Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing remain central to our practice. Claire holds a Level 3 qualification in SEND and is Forest School trained, helping us create an inclusive environment where children can explore, grow in confidence, and enjoy meaningful outdoor learning experiences.

Sam Gatecliff
Sam is our Deputy Manager and leads the Preschool room, bringing over 15 years of experience in Early Years. She is Level 3 qualified and fully accredited in Forest School practice, where she leads engaging outdoor sessions that inspire children to explore and learn through nature. Alongside her preschool role, Sam supports staff across all rooms, helping to maintain a consistent, nurturing approach and ensuring every child receives high quality care and learning opportunities.
