At Toy Box Day Nursery we regard snack and mealtimes as an important part of the day. This is a crucial time for children and adults to interact recalling what they have been doing and making plans about what to do next. Due to this we aim to make snack and mealtimes a comfortable social occasion enjoyed by all.

We follow the Government’s nutritional guidance to ensure that all meals support children’s health, development, and wellbeing. Our fully qualified cook, who holds a current Food Hygiene Certificate, prepares healthy and nutritious meals on site each day using fresh ingredients. Menus are carefully planned to provide balanced, age appropriate meals that encourage children to enjoy a wide variety of foods. We can also cater for different dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances.

Children enjoy breakfast, lunch (main with starter or dessert), afternoon snack and tea each day.
